Admissions Information

Reaching out for help can be frightening, but our professional admissions team is here to guide you through every step of the process. The need for treatment may not arise at the most convenient time and that’s why people may be referred, assessed and/or admitted 24 hours a day, seven days a week, including holidays.

Our Assessment and Referral professionals are here to help people connect with the appropriate level of mental health services. We offer confidential assessments at no-charge through on-site or mobile services (upon request).

To schedule an assessment, call us toll-free at 800-245-0011
or in Arkansas at 501-771-1500
We can also be reached by fax at 501-771-8508

What Is an Assessment?

Your call will be answered by a trained assessment counselor who will ask a few questions before scheduling a face-to-face appointment. During the appointment, a mental health professional will gather information to determine the most appropriate level of treatment.

Mental health professionals are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week to help you or a loved one connect with the appropriate level of mental health services. We offer confidential assessments at no-charge through on-site or mobile assessment services. Once you have completed the mobile assessment, you will be provided with some additional forms for completion once you arrive at The BridgeWay.

Our mobile assessors include the following:

Payment and Insurance Information

The BridgeWay accepts most major, private and government-issued insurance plans including Medicaid and Medicaid Expansion, Medicare, TRICARE, Arkansas Works, Arkansas Total Care, Empower Healthcare Solutions and Summit Community Care. Our financial counseling team will work with each patient’s insurance company to discuss available benefits. Out-of-network plans may also be accepted on a case-by-case basis, however, it is the ultimate responsibility of the patient to cover all fees associated with treatment and length of stay, including applicable co-pays and deductibles.

The BridgeWay has a wide range of payment options and financial arrangements can be made with our financial counseling department prior to or upon arrival. Prior to admission, we advise prospective patients to contact their insurance company to review applicable benefits. The BridgeWay will assist patients with verifying and filing for insurance benefits, however, payment of claims will depend on the coverage provided by the agency.

For more information about the cost of your or your loved one’s care, contact our financial counseling department at 800-245-0011. The financial counseling department is available Monday through Friday between 8:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.

What to expect

Following a confidential assessment, our mental health professionals identify the most appropriate level of treatment and a referral is made to the program determined to be the most useful. The BridgeWay is the only psychiatric hospital in Arkansas with distinct programs that include a continuum of care for seniors 55 and older, adults 18 and olderadolescents, ages 13-17, and children, ages 4 through 12.

Each patient’s needs are different, so programs vary in duration, and because some may serve as a transitional step between an initial crisis and re-entry into daily living, a patient may move between different levels of care throughout the treatment process.

The length of stay varies for each individual. The treatment team decides length of stay based on clinical information.

Patient Rights

The BridgeWay complies with applicable Federal civil rights laws and does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national origin, age, disability or sex. The BridgeWay does not exclude people or treat them differently because of race, color, national origin, age, disability or sex.
